I’ve spent 30 years doing one thing: getting consumer products noticed and purchased at shelf. That’s meant building displays, redesigning packaging, and running retail marketing programs for everyone from emerging brands to category leaders — across mass, pet, hardware, and specialty retail.

I founded Impulse Marketing in 1997. Since then, I’ve produced $35M+ in displays, packaging, and in-store assets for 125+ companies, managing programs from $5K tactical executions to $500K fully integrated retail rollouts. Some of those client relationships — SC Johnson, Valvoline — have lasted more than a decade. That kind of repeat business doesn’t happen by accident; it happens because the work performs at retail.

Alongside Impulse Marketing, I took on a six-year engagement at Spyder Products, leading a complete retail and brand transformation. We grew the product line from 170 to 700+ SKUs, increased trade professional brand awareness from 22% to 77%, and delivered 2650% revenue growth. I owned everything from packaging and visual merchandising to digital presence — daily website visitors went from 100 to over 2,000, and our social following scaled to 133K.

None of that happens without a team. I’ve built and led groups ranging from a handful to 25+ people across design, production, vendor management, and account services — and I genuinely enjoy the mentoring side of leadership. It’s part of why I also coach and train instructors at Winter Park Resort, where I’ve spent years translating complex technical concepts into something a first-time learner can actually use. That skill — making the complicated clear — shows up in how I lead teams and how I talk to clients.

If you’re a brand that needs to win at shelf, or a company looking for a senior retail marketing leader who’s done this at scale, I’d welcome the conversation.
